April 2011 - Curtis Customs at the Biker Bash!

Curtis MacLean trucked half the shop out to Exhibition Park for the 7th Annual Halifax Biker Bash April 16th & 17th.

Traffic was good throughout the show and interest was especially keen in the incredible unfolding tool box truck.

Curtis saw lots of old friends and made a few new ones...

Biker Bash visitors followed that yellow line through the arena and up into the vendors hall. Curtis Custom Designs booth had a lot of display space to spread out, kick back and relax in. One end showcased clothes and some of our custom biker boxes and shelves...

While down at the other end Curtis showed off his Harley on his custom Harley Trailer Hey look hon, wouldn't this be just right for our new family truck? So fuel efficient! Did you know a hummer actually makes a sturdy wall? Pretty tough furniture too...

February 19 - Winter Open House / Launch of new Members Only Club
Visitors came to find out the benefits of membership and give us their input on 2011 at Curtis Customs.
Visitors enjoyed a warm-up on a cold winter day with light refreshments in the Showroom, and got an inside look at current builds in the Shop. Thanks to our friends at Elmsdale Superstore for our tasty sandwich trays!

Lots of snow, doesn't keep real car guys home; our parking lot was full and traffic through the Open House was steady. Did you know that a chopped tool truck (complete with fridge, roll out seats & cup holders of course), makes for a really guy-friendly buffet? Clumps of car guys deep in car discussions could be spotted scattered around the showroom, parts department and shop

Visitors included Steve Cooper (with camera) - owner & webmaster of maritimeclassiccars.com - touring the shop & showroom for a web profile on CCD. Trailer Park Boy Rob Wells (centre) also stopped by to talk with Curtis about progress so far on his custom build on Rob's 1989 Mustang, once belonging to his late brother. Rob also took a few moments for autogrpahs & photos with fans; above he's signing 'The Dark Angel', one of the cars CCD provided for the Trailer Park Boys TV series shoot in 2010.

February 4th - Member of Parliament for Hants the Hon. Scott Brison
MP Scott Brison took owner Curtis MacLean up on an invitation to tour the shop and showroom. Scott seemed interested with what he saw at the facility and got the full tour treatment including the ever-popular demo of our unfolding Tool Box Truck in the Showroom.

Lucky winner Robin Hatchette's hard work paid off for him, helping him beat out more than 15 other mechanics at Dartmouth's Chebucto Ford in their 2010 'Customer Service' competition.

Unveiled to employees in August at the launch of the competition, the 'Ford blue' customized work bench with top cabinet was a prize incentive for in-house mechanics to deliver top quality customer care to Ford's clients, with the winner receiving the tool bench for their own workstation.
